Exhibition “Meine Bilder Sind Notizen” at Suermondt-Ludwig Museum, Aachen
For the first time in Germany, an important retrospective will introduce Marc Riboud’s works, from his first steps in Paris and London, to his later photographs of Vietnam, Angkor and China in the 90s and 2000s.

The exhibition, organized by curator Sylvia Böhmer, is held under the patronage of Anne-Marie Descôtes, French Ambassador in Germany, and supported by the French-German Cultural Institute of Aachen.

Simultaneously to the retrospective “Marc Riboud. Conscious Traveller. Concerned Photographer.” at Galerija Jakopic, the Galerija Fotografija presents an exhibition of forty photographs, famous and less famous, by Marc Riboud.

“Marc Riboud. Conscious Traveller. Concerned Photographer.” at the Jakopic Gallery, Ljubljana
The Museums and galleries of Ljubljana present a large retrospective by Marc Riboud at the Jakopic Gallery. Gathering more than 200 vintage and modern prints, the exhibition focuses in particular on his journeys in Yugoslavia in 1953, in Prague with Anna Farova in the 70s and early 80s and on his photographs of China and West Africa.

“Cuba”, an exhibition at Musée de l’Hospice Comtesse, Lille
Discover Marc Riboud’s photographs taken in Cuba in 1963, and his interview with Fidel Castro at the moment of John F. Kennedy’s assassination, as part of the festival OLA CUBA organized by Lille 3000.

Group exhibition “Protest! Resistance posters” in Zürich
Globalization, women’s rights, Trump: the poster has established itself as an effective medium for political struggle. 50 years after 1968, the onset of a worldwide rebellion, the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich presents around 300 international protest posters, accompanied by protest songs, videos, and images from virtual space, the exhibition showcases the work of socially engaged designers and illuminates various strategies of protest.

At the center of the exhibition view are three photographs of May 68 by Marc Riboud.
