Exhibition “Geometry becomes Poetry, Life, Emotion” at Arcturus Gallery, Paris

It is through this love of geometry that Arcturus has chosen to showcase the poetry and spontaneity that Marc Riboud captured during his travels around the world. Always underpinned by curiosity and an attention to the human condition, without any trace of academic rigour, the images, in which life emerges spontaneously, with its curves and organic forms, are framed by lines of force. The oars of the Ghanaians, the beams on Chinese building sites, and the vertical lines of skyscrapers guide our gaze without detracting from the spontaneity and the unexpected nature of the images.
This meticulous composition, which came naturally to him, always serves what is most important to him: his curiosity about humanity. Through his work, geometry becomes poetry, life and emotion.
