The festival PHOTOfolies in Rodez pays tribute to Marc Riboud by showing a selection of his photographs taken in China from his first journey in 1957 to the last trip to Shanghai in 2010.

Exhibition “China” at Photo Shanghai

September 9th to September 11th 2016

Discover a selection of 31 photographs taken by Marc Riboud in China, from the 1950s to the 2000s, at Leica Gallery at Photo Shanghai.

The photographs are presented in an ensemble entitled “Visual Stories on China, 1933 Until Now” which presents historical photographs by Count of Castell-Rüdenhausen and contemporary images by Ian Teh and Liu Jiangling.

Group exhibition “Ailleurs” in the garden Raymond VI, Toulouse

September 9th to October 26th 2016

Discover « Ailleurs », an outside group exhibition organized by Biz’art pop, with the photographs of Anita Andrzejewska, Kristoffer Albrecht, Pentti Sammallahti and Marc Riboud.

The opening will take place on Friday 9th of September, from 6:30pm, in the garden Raymond VI, Toulouse.

New book “CUBA” at éditions de La Martinière

Today is released Marc Riboud’s new book: CUBA, published by éditions de La Martinière, with texts by Jean Daniel and Marc Riboud, and a foreword by Wim Wenders!

This book will relive the great scoop of Jean Daniel and Marc Riboud, gone to visit the island and interview Fidel Castro in 1963. After days of waiting, Castro showed up in their hotel room and talked until an early hour. The next day, Marc Riboud gone back to France, Jean Daniel is having lunch with Castro when the phone rings: Kennedy has been assassinated. This interview will be THE scoop of young Jean Daniel and Marc Riboud’s photographs will be published all around the world.


The photographs of Cuba will be exhibited at Visa Pour l’Image in Perpignan from August 27th to September 11th 2016 and in Brownstone Foundation in Paris from October 29th to November 27th 2016.

Group exhibition “Magnum First” at Hillside Terrace, Tokyo

Rediscovered in an Innsbruck cellar in 2006, this is the first Magnum group exhibition, initially presented in 5 Austrian cities between June 1955 and February 1956.
